Speedstream 4200
Setting up in Router Mode
Open your browser and type http://192.168.2.1 to enter the web interface.
Click on Setup on the left
Enter your VIF username with @vif.com
Enter your VIF Password
Press Save Settings
Setting up in Bridge Mode
Type http://192.168.2.1 to enter the web interface. Click Mode On the left
Once in that page. Click Reset for Factory Reset
Finally Click Reboot and its set! Your modem is in Bridge Mode!
Speedtouch 510/516
To configure the Speedtouch 510/516 modem/router to let it stay connected 24/7, you will need to edit a few configuration before log in into it.
1. Open up your Web Browser and type in http://192.168.1.254 in the address bar at the top and hit Enter.
2. Click on the SpeedTouch menu on the left.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Set Up link.
4. A new page will open up. Click Next.
5. Select “Router” and click Next.
6. Select VPI/VCI as “0.35” and “PPP over ethernet” and press Next.
- Enter your VIF Username with @vif.com
- Password and Confirm Password and click Next.
7. Access control to be able to login to the modem next time
- Enter a User Name
- Password and Confirm Password click Next.
8. Click on Start to begin configuration of the modem.
9. Click on Finish when the modem is finished configuring
10. In a few minutes, try to browse the internet, you should be able to surf now. If it doesnt work, check the DSL Status to see if your connected or not.
TP-Link TD-W8901G/TD-W8951N
Here is the guide to configure the TP-LINK TD-W8901G/TD-W8951ND Wireless Modem/Router
1. Type in http://192.168.1.1 in your web browser
2. Click on Interface Setup on the top
- Virtual Circuit: set to PVC2
- Select PPPoA/PPPoE next to Encapsulation
- Enter your VIF Username@vif.com in the Username field
- Enter your VIF Password
- Make sure the Default Route is set to YES
- Save the settings by pressing SAVE
3. To setup your wireless click on the Wireless Sublink under Interface Setup
- Enter the right country in the Channel
- change Use WPS to NO
- Set Autentication Type to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK
- Use Password encryption to TKIP/AES and put in password using 8-64 characters
- Save the settings by pressing SAVE
4. Next go to Advanced Setup
- Firewall and SPI make sure its set to Disabled
- Save the settings by pressing SAVE
5. Click on Access Management then UPnP sublink
- UPnP and Auto-Configured make sure its set to Activated
- Save the settings by pressing SAVE
6. Finally Click on Maintenance and sublink Administration
- put in a password to change the default admin password (this is recommended)
- Save the settings by pressing SAVE
Totolink ND150/ND300
Here is the guide to configure the Totolink ND150/ND300 Wireless Modem/Router
1. Type in http://192.168.1.1 in your web browser
2. Click on Interface Setup on the top
3. Virtual Circuit: set to PVC2
- VPI 0 / VCI 35
- Select PPPoA/PPPoE next to Encapsulation
- Enter your VIF Username@vif.com in the Username field
- Enter your VIF Password
- Next to Connection Settings choose Always on
- Make sure the Default Route is set to YES
- Get IP Address set to Dynamic
- Save the settings by pressing SAVE
4. To setup your wireless click on the Wireless Sublink under Interface Setup
- Enter the right country in the Channel
- Set Autentication Type to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK
- Use Password encryption to TKIP/AES and put in password using 8-64 characters

Here is the guide to configure the Netis DL-4311
1. Type in http://192.168.1.1 in your web browser
2. Username/password is guest/guest
3. Click on Setup
4. Go to the bottom of the page to WAN Interface Table and click on WAN0
5. Next make sure all these informations are correct in this page.
- VPI 0 / VCI 35
- Channel Mode: PPPoE
- PPPSettings: enter your VIF Username@vif.com and VIF Password
- Click on Modify on the bottom of the page
6. Next click on WLAN on the left and click Basic
- Enter an SSID and choose your Channel Number click Apply Changes
7. Next click on Security on the left
- Encryption put WPA2 Mixed
- Enter a password in the Pre-shared key
- Click Apply Changes
Motorola Netopia 2210
Here is the guide to configure the Motorola Netopia 2210
1. Go to your browser and type http://192.168.1.254 and press enter
2. Default username and password is admin/admin to login
3. Once logged in Click on the Firewall link on the left and Click on the off button on the right page and save changes.
4. Next Click on Expert Mode. You will see a warning message just ignore it.
5. Click on Yes, Enter Expert Mode
6. Click on Configure on the left and click Connection
- Set VCI to 0
- Set VPI to 35
- Protocol : PPP Over Ethernet/LLCSNAP
- Bridging: Disabled
- Concurrent Bridging/Routing: Disabled
- Username: Enter your VIF Username@vif.com
- Password: Enter your VIF Password
- Confirm Password: Reenter your VIF Password
- Connection Type: Always On
- UPNP: Have a check mark
- Click Save Changes
7. Click on Restart Router on the left
8. Click Yes to restart
9. Your modem will reboot and in about 2 mins you will see 4 green lights on your modem which indicates you are now connected to your internet.
2Wire 2701HG/2700HG-E
Here is the guide to configure the 2Wire 2701HG/2700HG-E
1. Open a browser, in the address bar, type 192.168.1.254.
2. Click on “Internet Connection”.
3. Click on “Advanced Settings” and it will ask you for a password to login, type: admin.
4. Make sure the Settings is on DSL
- Put the DSL Line Selection to “Automatic” then enter VPI as “0” and VCI as “35”.
- Set the ATM Encapsulation as “Bridged LLC”.
- Set the ATM PVC Search to “Disable”.
- Set connection Type as “PPPoE”.
- Enter your “username”, “password” and “confirm password”.
- Set forced Upstream MTU as “1492”.
- Click Save.
5. In a few minutes, try to browse the internet, you should be able to surf now.
6. If you want to setup the wireless, here are the instructions for it.
- Go on the “Home Network” page, then in “Wireless Settings”
- Put a check mark on “SSID Broadcast” and “Wireless Network Security”
- The Authentication could be set on WEP Open, WEP Share, WPA-PSK, best choice will be “WPA-PSK”.
- Use “Custom encryption key” and type the key you want. The default one is the one on the modem.
- Finally, click “Save”.
VDSL2 Modems Guides
VDSL2 SmartRG SR505N
Here is a guide to get your SmartRG SR505N connected in PPPoE mode for FTTN25 and FTTN50 speeds
1. Type in http://192.168.1.1 in your web browser
2. Click on Manage Gateway (advanced)
3. Click on WAN service on the left and then click Add
- PPP Username: VIF Username@vif.com
- Password: VIF Password
- Uncheck Enable Firewall
- Check Enable NAT and Enable SIP
- Click Next until you get a save button
- Click on the DSL link on the left
- This page make sure the Enable PTM is checked and click Save.
4. Click on Wireless to begin setting up your Wifi
- Click on Basic on the left
- Enable Wireless make sure its checked
- SSID: Enter any name you would like for your wireless name to appear
- Click on Security on the left side
- Network Authentication: set to WPA2/WPA-PSK
- WPA /WAPI Passphrase: put a wifi password
- click on Apply/Save

1. To access the interface go here: http://192.168.2.1
2. Next you need to type in "admin" and press enter .
3. Click on Advanced Settings.
- SIP Server: sipshield1.vif.com
- SIP User ID: Enter your SIP ID Authenticate Password: Enter your VoIP Password
4. Next we scroll down to "Register Expiration" set it to 600 seconds.
5. Now we scroll down to “Enable Call Features”
- "Enable Call Features": must be set to Yes
- Send DTMF: set to via RTP (RFC2833) and remove in-audio
6. Set Reply to ICMP on WAN port to YES
7. Set WAN Side HTTP Access to YES
8. Now go all the way to the bottom and click Update.

1. Plug in a phone and dial *** and then 02 to get IP of the unit
